More From the Junk Yard
I have no idea what purpose this machined cylinder fulfilled but it sure looked cool with the sun shining through it.
Paint Chip
Here is one in what I like to call Blair Style. This is from an interesting junk yard just outside Eden Mills that is full of old -- and I really mean classic -- cars, from the 70's and beyond. Like a junkyard from days gone by transported to now, tres cool.
Equally cool, I got to drive Jake's Audi S4 on the way home. The 8 cylinder just purred with that rhythm that only an 8 cylinder can give. It ate up the road like a ravenous beast and it was full to the brim, or near enough, with gadgetry. Overall a wonderful ride but now I want one.
Sunset II
I am slacking on the photo every Monday thing, I have no idea how some people can post an image every day and maintain the rest of their lives.
Sure it looks like a beautiful lake it is just a gravel pit, one that I have been kicked out of for swimming in.
Park Bench
The blurring effect that makes this picture so cool looking is not intentional, in fact it is the result of a thousand tiny mosquitoes collaborating in an attack on me. They attacked the moment I clicked the shutter giving the nice blur effect that makes it look almost like a painting.
Tiger Lilly on Velvet
A Tiger Lilly flower suspended in front of a sheet black velvet. The velvet absorbs pretty much all available light making the flower look as if it is suspended in a void.
Almost Spring
It really wasn't on the verge of spring when this was taken, it was freakin' cold with a side helping of frost-bite wind. Whenever I see it, though, it always makes me thing of receding ice. So here is to spring which is only a couple days away.
Wings of Paradise
This is the first official installment of my photoblog, I will usually post the photos Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.
This photo was taken at the Wings of Paradise butterfly conservatory near Guelph, ON. This is probably my favourite nature photo that I have taken. I love the colours of the butterfly and the leaves, and the curves of the leaves really give the photo a smooth, sensual touch.
